2026 will be the last model year that the classic American Ford Escape is available. The Escape is equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder Ford engine that delivers 250 horsepower for its send-off year. All-wheel drive is standard on the ST-Line trim and above, and this compact family hauler has seating for five.
Every Escape can come with a standard 8-inch infotainment touchscreen or an optional 13.2-inch version. Ford’s Sync 4 system does automatic over-the-air updates, so the Escape always runs the latest software. Add-ons include a head-up display, a 10-speaker audio setup, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge screen.
Trim levels for the 2026 Ford Escape include the Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, Platinum, and ST-Line Elite. The ST-Line versions offer a sleeker and more aggressive exterior styling, with a rear spoiler and black mesh front grille. The Active includes roof rack side rails for more gear hauling ability.
JD Power has ranked the Ford Escape #1 among Compact SUVs for Initial Quality, based on fewer problems during the first 90 days of ownership. Cars.com rated it the Best Value Compact SUV for 2025. It also has a 5-star crash safety rating from the NHTSA. Stop by Walt’s Live Oak Ford today to test drive the 2026 Ford Escape before it’s gone!
